Application For Vendor Tables
2023 Application Is Below - Scroll Down!
Food Vendor Tables Are Filled!
All vendor table applications will be reviewed by the Spirit of Beacon Day Committee. If accepted, your group will be assigned a table number, location and added to our email list for ongoing communication about the day. Tables run down Main Street from S. Brett Street (Amacord) to Teller Avenue (Yankee Clipper Diner). Contact Us with any questions.
Deadline: There are a limited number of tables. Apply now. See below before applying please!
A few things to know before submitting:
Qualifications: Tables are for non-profits and organizations only. If your business serves the community in a big way, but you are classified as a business, you will be able to tell us how you serve the community in the application below. Please be realistic. For example: Realtors who help people find homes are providing a service to the community, but real estate is a business, not a community service.
Businesses: Businesses wanting a table should consider Sponsorship for promotion. Business Sponsors at the Beacon Of Light Level do get 1 table.
Temporary Food Permit: If you are selling or giving away any type of food, you need to contact the Dutchess County Health Department to find out if you need a temporary food permit. Our contact at the Dutchess County Health Department, Shannon Fatum, wants to make this process easy for you. She will listen to what you are wanting to sell, and will advise you on what to do for if you need a permit or not. This includes most types of food - cookies, lemonade, hot dogs, etc. If it is pre-packaged food, like Girl Scout Cookies or from a local restaurant, you may not need a permit.
Temporary Food Permit Contact Person: Call Inspector Shannon Fatum if you want to sell food. Her number is 845-838-4801. Leave her a message or email her at sfatum@dutchessny.gov. She is waiting to hear from you, and knows about the Spirit of Beacon Day. If you need a temporary permit, she will email you the application and help you through the process.
“Our Usual Spot”: Table locations are not promised, as we are reviewing all applications and placing them in a way that works for the given year.
Sidewalk: Tables are located on the sidewalk so that the parade can run through the middle of Main Street safely. This is the best recommendation from Beacon’s Police Chief Sans Frost and Fire Chief Gary VanVoorhis. Please be respectful of a storefront business you are in front of, and encourage your table visitors to go inside of the business behind you.
Table Fee: Once approved, you will be sent a payment link to secure your spot. $35 for regular tables. $100 for food vendor tables.
Fee Waved: After School Clubs in Beacon City School District .
Food Vendor Fee Reduced: For Main Street businesses who already have a storefront but also want a table.Bring Your Own Table, Chairs and Tent: The spot is 10x10, and you will need to bring your own table, chairs and tent if you want that.
