join us for the 43rd annual spirit of beacon day -
a virtual & safe-distance event, Sunday sept 27

Please note that the traditional Parade and Festival will not be held along Main Street this year, due to the Covid 19 health and safety guidelines. However, Spirit of Beacon Day will still be celebrated with a virtual and safe-distance event.

Instead of the traditional Parade, there will be a Neighborhood Drive-Thru of Community Organizations & First Responders which will travel in groups of vehicles throughout the city neighborhoods and streets. There will also be Special Recognition and Honoree cars carrying those who have especially served our community at the “front lines” during the Pandemic.

The goal is to have as many folks as possible be able to watch the Drive-Thru safely from their homes and front porches and everyone is encouraged to decorate their front lawn, yard or windows during the month of September, and make homemade community messages, banners or signs to display and cheer on the vehicles as they come around on Sunday the 27th.

A Virtual Concert will be Live-Streamed on Facebook, Channel 22 television and the Spirit of Beacon website, starting at 12 noon showcasing video messages, music performances, art and photographs with contributions from across the community.
